Miss Sass is also the author and illustrator of "Infinie Melodie," a book of poems, published by Editions Domen.
In 2010, Sylvia Sass will undertake her first non-singing stage role as legendary opera diva Maria Callas in a revival of Terrence McNally's award-winning play, "Master Class." Once hailed as "The New Callas" herself, Sass also had the privilege of befriending Callas in her last years of life.
Actresses including Zoe Caldwell, Patti Lupone, Dixie Carter, Fanny Ardant and Faye Dunaway have all starred in productions of "Master Class." But Sass will be the first actual opera singer to bring Callas to life.
"Master Class" starring Sylvia Sass will be directed by Thierry Pillon for his theatrical company, L'Eternel Ephemere, based in Nantes, France.
