The core Symbiosis crew consists of Smee and John on the sound tech and box building and Selecta One Time with the dub & roots and Chewie Lewie with jungle. There are too many guests to mention, you know who you are.
Jem and others help with flyer design and promotion and a big up to all our friends who have ever lugged the speakers around, given flyers out, helped on the door... One Love

Symbiosis started life as a group of Leeds based Dubheads and a stack of bright red full range cabs. After throwing parties at absolutely any opportunity we decided we loved what we were doing (and how it sounded) so kept building.. Somehow by summer 2004 we were rattling our mates brains out with the sweet sound of Roots vibrations powered by 18" bass bins almost every weekend. From the summer of 04 we continually worked hard on building our Heavyweight Dubwise sound and have now formed a reputation for some of the heaviest sound and biggest parties in Leeds. Recently Symbiosis have begun playing out n about with the help and support of friends and the mighty High Pressure. This bond has taken off throughout 2006 after supporting HP at many events with our sound and selectas to provide a super heavyweight Dubwise sound experience. So a big thank you to all High Pressure crew for making us less lazy by dragging us to your nights. After a string of successful gigs in 2006 including sound and support at many of Leeds top free parties, Drum n Bass(Lockdown+Unification) and Dub events(Atrium/WestIndian/Unity day...)
Highlights from 2007 include taking the sound to Blackpool and playing with Pendulum, The Scratch Perverts and Caspa & Rusko @ Herbal Session as well as keeping it local at Unity Day.
2008 has been a busy year so far with the monthly sound clash nights with High Pressure running at Burley from Jan to June, along with playing at Jungle Jam and Unity Day among many other nights.
A quality time was had by all @ Work Media Centre (AKA The Bed Factory) with the mighty Nucleus Roots, Symbiosis, High Pressure, Exodus, Inspirational, Central Beatz, Radio Frequency and Ruffage DJs on Sat October 25th all mashing it up in an amazing 700-capacity warehouse that's been converted into a club/ media centre! Thanks to everyone who helped out and came along. Look out for some more nights in the new year!

"Franziska go way over the italian border. The band keeps on running for a full european consent. African Beat (GER) just produced their new single 'Jah Live', a conscious reggae hit sang by Piero Dread and Jah Son on the Bad boys Riddim (Inner Circle's remake) played by the Oneness band."
Yeh that night looks sick and the annoying thing is we've got a night on the 28th as well. We've got a few things coming over over the coming months, testing out a new venue in March called the Cellar Bar in Blackpool, as its name suggests its in a massive cellar with a 6am license so should b sweet. You guys off to the Wailers in April cos we're gonna be Makin the journey to Leeds so we should def hook up!!
