ELECTRONIC DUO SYNTONICS IS DJ CRYO AND BARBI C. THEY ARE INFLUENCED BY ELEMENTS OF CLUB MUSIC FROM AROUND THE WORLD, BOTH PAST AND PRESENT. BASED OUT OF TORONTO SYNTONICS FORMED IN EARLY 2005 AS A LIVE IMPROV ELECTRONIC GROUP WITH 4 MEMBERS. BY OCTOBER 2005 SYNTONICS BECAME A STUDIO PROJECT CONSISTING OF DJ CRYO AND BARBI C, BOTH FUSING LIVE PERFORMANCE WITH DJ SENSIBILITIES. THEIR SOUND RANGES FROM GHETTO-BASS BOOTY BEATS TO 80'S FREESTYLE HOOKS AND EDITS WITH NEW WAVE SYNTHS. SYNTONICS IS CONSTANTLY EVOLVING THEIR SOUND, BLENDING THEIR UNIQUE VOCAL STYLINGS AND SIGNATURE PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES.
Cryogenetic (Dj Cryo) , producer of many styles of electronic/electro music, began producing in the early 90's and has produced over 20 full length albulms under numerous guises. In 2002 Dj Godfather's Detroit label "Twilight 76" released the e.p. "Complex Cities" bringing Cryo's underground status to a more internatonal level. Barbi C , a multi-instrumentalist, dj and vocalist has a history in the recording arts also dating back to the early 90's. By singing on internationally released house and techno singles, as well as playing in new wave/rock bands for years, Barbi C finds a way to bridge her unique vocal stylings together with the signature electronic productions of Cryo. The duo and their label, INTELLEGENIX, have recently signed a worldwide digital distribution deal with ELECTROBOUNCE.com which is Dj Godfather's new website.
