Born and lives in Osaka.
Started playing the tuba at the age of 12.
Learned classical at 15.
Began performing at 20.
Belonged to/played commercial for a major Japanese label.
Played improvisation,folcloric and contemporary music.
Went to New Orleans--USA--twice,had some gigs,
recorded with Rebirth brass band , Wild Magnolias and others.
1998-2006, member of Shibusa Shirazu.
5tours of Europe with them,playing in 20countries.
Played at Moers jazz festival(De),Glastonbury festival(GB)and
many other big festivals and concerts in and out of Japan.
2006 March,Mr Diagonal and The Black Light Orchestra.
played for and assisted them on their Japan tour.
September, met les-ist(BEL) and played some gigs with them.
I produce,promote and participate in music events.
Co-star and/or collaborate with butoh-dance,modern dance,
live painting and others beside music.
Participated on a lot of albums CD/DVD.
Worked with Joseph Jarman(sax fl:Art Ensemble of Chicago),
Don Moye(ds,per:Art Ensemble of Chicago)Misha Mengelberg (p:NED)
RONIN(ECM:swiss)Park jechun(per:South Korea)and many more.
Always trying new things,challenging the limits of the acoustic music expression
and explore all possibilities of the bass brass tuba.
Develope a unique performance method,in my own style
(friend said "daysuke is a tuba raper!")
Original style named "blowbass" .
The tuba is being played by circulate breathing basically,
and some time electric.
The sound is far from the normal tuba.
