It's rare to find a band that can successfully balance the hope that comes with a life dedicated to a Savior so often misunderstood, while despising the current state of the church and speaking out against it. The members of Take It Back! are certainly no strangers to controversy, coming under scrutiny for their stance on faith, the church, the world around them, and who Jesus Christ truly is. They are ready to take this message to the world with a new 5 song EP slated for release in early August, and in that same month going into the studio to record their second full-length album set to release in October 2009. The band takes inspiration from bands such as Verse, Have Heart, Blink 182, Set Your Goals, Modern Life is War, and more. Take It Back!'s sound is often difficult to stick into one single category because of the many different styles of music they draw on for inspiration. The lyrical content strikes a chord of candor in the synthetic and often insincere Christian music industry, and honesty is what they strive to achieve. Through their dedicated approach to life on the road and their sincere desire to see peoples lives changed through their music, the band takes on a matter very dear to their hearts. They are here to tell people about the True Risen Christ. Their hope is to reach people regardless of their walk of life or faith. Their desire for their music is that people will consider who Jesus Christ actually is and how he can radically change their way of thinking. Take It Back! will not fade into silence. Take it Back! is featured as one of AP Magazine’s “100 bands to know in 2009” and their 2008 album “Can’t Fight Robots” (Facedown) has been praised by many reviews both online and in print, They have also been featured in numerous publications. They are spending the summer writing for their new album and are preparing for a full touring schedule to support it.
