Tamar Berk, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has been a fixture in the Chicago music scene since 1996. Her first band STARBALL gained critical acclaim and recognition throughout the midwest.
After Starball disbanded in 2001, Tamar began writing and recording her first solo release in her home studio in Chicago, and was the pop finalist in the 2002 John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
While working on her third solo release, she began performing live with the electro band The Countdown which she formed with her husband. Some of the songs she's written over the years have found placement opportunities on the ABC FAMILY's show "Knock First" and "Wildfire", MTV's "Fanatic" the WB's "Veronica Mars as well as some independent feature films.
Tamar continues writing songs in her home studio, while working full time and being a wife and mother. She also teaches at the Portland Branch of the Paul Green School of Rock
