anything that rocks your balls
off without vocal pitch, like
Baroness, High on Fire,
Capricorns, The Sword.
Neye Benziyor?
A child of Stoner, Sludge, Metal, and a healthy dose heavy riff worshipping!
Some reviews:
Metal Hammer (UK)
- April 2008
"'Behold' quickly moves into less crowded territory, all chunky, slightly abstracted riffs that recall Capricorns at their most brawny, Pelican at their least, but more likely sired in a love for their Dutch forebears, 90s cult act Kong. Tracks urge themselves on, gorging themselves on their own grooves and birthing fluid guitar breaks, all prepped for the final 'Dust', illuminated by light streaming in from the new horizons it opens up. T86 are bound for glory."
Aardschok (NL)
- March 2008
"Tank86 has tackled every possible problem from the start by not adding any vocals. The best possible decision, because 'Behold' now sounds as a power struggle of riffs, solos and climaxes. Tank86 breathes Motorpsycho, 35007, Lawn and 7zuma7 without effort. Can it get any better? No, Tank86 hits the sensitive, low-tuned string on all fronts, without ever reverting to wankery or pretentiousness."
Sleazegrinder
- March 2008
"Epic, sky-splitting instro super-grooves from this chasm-leaping bunch of hairy-scaries. Their songs are thick as tree-trunks and higher than kites. I haven’t heard no-vocal rock this transcendent since the heydaze of Karma to Burn, and that’s saying a lot. Pack your bags, because once you slap this monster on, you’re gonna go to some faraway places, brother."
Gitarist (NL)
- March 2008
"The new EP 'Behold' by the instumental stonerrock band Tank 86 from Breda is incredibly heavy. On top of an overwhelming wall of riffs, guitarists Floris Lambregts and Joost Kruiswijk play solos that alternate between bluesy and roaring. Experience this overwhelming tank on one of their self organised Rising Magma festivals"
Oor (NL)
- March 2008
"This dualbarreled stonerrockquartet understands that, without vocals, lyrics and the extra melody, they raise the bar much higher. The group's metalriffs go even further than those of Karma To Burn, the band that also tried it without a vocalist at the end of the last century. The volome knob has to be turned past three-quarters to the right to reach the desired effect. And still this studioproduct falls behind of Tank 86 on stage: such an incredibly tight liveband!"

Dutch gods of the underground Tank86 have formed in 2005. Since then they played intensively alongside like-minded bands such as Monster Magnet, Dozer, Pelican and Repomen.
Tank86 deliverd 5 huge riff-heavy tracks with instrumental sludgy stonemetaldoom on their debut EP 'Behold'. This overwhelming introduction to this band is always matched by their impressive live performances. The greatness of what is yet to come shines through already.
Tank86: "We are very happy with all the positive responses to our EP 'Behold'. We are currently writing new material for our upcoming full-length. If you liked the EP, you will love what you're gonna hear on the album!"
More thrash and melodic influences come in alongside their signature weird timings and heavy instrumentalism. Hamonised guitars and a more layered approach add more depth to the already massive sound of the band.
Expect collapsing buildings.

Les Hellacopters sont morts ? Vive Paperback Freud !
Be there or be square !
Black Suede has just recently released a New song titled "Revenue Stream." We know you have great taste in music. Drop through and let us know what think about it. Your Opinion Means a lot!
Actually, I didn't listen it that much to have a solid opinion. It sounds just ..ok to me, not a big deal. My standards are high for Fu. I guess I just have to listen to it another time..Keep on rawkin' and start thinking seriously about visiting Athens for a live someday Cheers!

Hey TANK86 If you have a minute, please come check out the new song Alex Hirsch wrote after reading Einstein's private manuscripts and quoting his memoirs directly. The song is called, The Stormy Seas of Time and features Ken Oak on the Cellos, Bionik on the Drums and Production, and of course, Alex Hirsch on the guitars pianos and singing. And remember, all it takes is 3 little dollars to get any of his full albums at www.keywinsproductions.com.
A fair price for up to 17 songs! Finally, good music that is priced correctly, not another record company rip off!
