TARA MACRI BIO
Tara Macri is a singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada.
She was discovered by legendary musician and “Industry Hall of Fame” inductee, Ronnie Hawkins. Ronnie, who is known for developing promising young talent, took Tara under his wing. He introduced her to Amy Sky who is well known for her work with Reba McIntyre, Cyndi Lauper, Ann Wilson and Olivia Newton John.
Tara is no stranger to the stage. She starred as, “Amber Von Tussel,” on Broadway and in the National Touring Company of “Hairspray.”
Although Tara is currently living in LA and working on her new album she can also be seen playing clubs and theatres throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
Tara has collaborated with many talented songwriters including:
Christopher Ward (Allana Miles) Justin Gray (Joss Stone, Emma Bunton), Bill Bell (Jason Mraz), Peter Calo (Carly Simon), Rob Wells ( Backstreet Boys, Cyndi Lauper),Trevor Kustiak (Matchbox 20), Greg Chritchley (Clay Aiken, Miley Cyrus)
Her song “Antidote” was recorded by the popular Asian boy band, KAT-TUN.
