A Friend Is Like A Four Leaf Clover: Hard To Find And Lucky To Have! Have A Great And Wonderful Week! And I Hope You Feel Good! A Big Hug For Your Friendship!
Hey T-Bone, Thanks for the message ... and your phone number. I'll try to get in touch with you next time I'm breezing through. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you ... I was in Mexico for two weeks getting some sun ... and now will resume touring ... heading to Santa Babara for a concert gig ... and maybe you saw me featured on Oregon Public TV this past week on Oregon Art Beat ...?
All I can tell you about the blues cruises is to visit their web site and send them your promo: www. bluescruise. com
I'll be headingup you way in late MAy to perform in Seattle ... and again in July to perform all four days of the huge Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland.
The Ty Curtis Band and myself are playing at Mac's tonight for the RDBS meeting, just thought I'd stop by and let ya know in case yer not busy. When are you playing next?
Hello T-Bone Stone Band, Hope you are doing well. Blues Detour is now 'live' and taking artist CD submissions. Please check us out and we'll save some shelf space for ya' ;)
Good to hear from you ... thanks for stopping by ... and for your friendship and music.
We've recently released a DVD, "Hawkeye Live In Concert." All the DVD footage was shot in concert ... in Rockford, IL ... in '05 & '06 at the Mendelssohn Concert Hall by the Charlotte's Web organization.
Nino's/Big Cities is still open!!! ... and much the same as ever ... as is Nino ... I stop in and to say 'hello' when I'm passing through the area ... doing a concert/festival ... or in-school presentations in the Rockford area.
I tour all over North America and in Europe (November each year) ... and since 1999, I only perform in concert venues, at blues/folk/jazz festivals, blues cruises, and in-school programs ... not in bars/pub/clubs ... I have no interest in returning to that scene ... life has been very good to this (now) 'old' bluesman.
I'll probably be performing at the huge Waterfront Blues Festival in July in Portland ... I performed at that event all five days last year ... maybe I'll see you there?
I passed through Creswell on I-5 on Monday, 3/3 ... on my way home from a weekend concert and blues guitar workshop up in Washington.
Keep your eye out on television/Oregon Public Television (PBS) in the next few weeks ... I'll be featured on the "Oregon Arts Beat" program.
I hope our paths cross ... again ... on the blues/musical highway of Life ... someday.
Thank for your longtime friendship.
Cheers and Best Wishes,
Hawkeye Herman www. HawkeyeHerman. com Blues Foundation "Keeping The Blues Alive" Award recipient Iowa Blues Hall of Fame
