Banda colombiana de Rock-Metal Gótica fundada en 1990 por David Rivera. Su principal característica es que fusiona un instrumento clásico como el violín en el contexto de una banda de Metal (guitarra-bajo-batería) junto a sonidos ambientales de teclado. A lo largo de casi dos décadas de carrera TENEBRARUM cuenta con una producción musical de 8 trabajos discográficos que muestran una gran evolución sonora, pasando por distintas etapas creativas. En sus mas recientes trabajos la banda ha mostrado su versatilidad y capacidad de adaptación pudiendo fusionar en su obra arreglos de cuerda para orquesta de cámara y voces femeninas sin perder la fuerza de su esencia metalera, con algunos toques rock y neo-clásicos.
TENEBRARUM se ha ganado un puesto importante en la escena latinoamericana como una banda pionera en el género, que ha sido capaz de arriesgarse y presentar propuestas innovadoras con un sello único. Ha sido capaz de encontrar un sonido propio y desarrollarlo para que perdure a través del tiempo. Ganó en el 2008 el premio “Subterránica versión metal” como Mejor Banda de Metal Gótico. Ha sido nominada en repetidas ocasiones a los premios Shock (los mas importantes de la industria musical en Colombia) como Mejor Banda de Metal y Mejor Álbum Alternativo. Su álbum “Voices” fue re-editado en Europa por el sello español Mondongo Canibale en 2006, ganando elogios por parte de la crítica especializada. Su mas reciente álbum “Winter” será editado en Canadá por el sello HateWorks Norteamérica.
TENEBRARUM ha sido declarada “Fuera de concurso” en el festival internacional Altavoz y ha sido banda invitada nacional en el aclamado festival Rock al Parque. Ha compartido escenario con las más destacadas agrupaciones colombianas y con importantes agrupaciones del género a nivel mundial.
La banda actualmente está trabajando en la creación de nueva música y expandiendo sus horizontes. TENEBRARUM está preparado para asumir los retos del futuro.

Gothic Rock-Metal Colombian band created by David Rivera in 1990. A fusion between a classical instrument such as violin in a metal environment (guitar-bass-drums) and ambiental keyboard sounds are its main characteristic. With almost two decades of career, TENEBRARUM has recorded eight albums showing a huge sound evolution through several creative stages. In their latest works the band have presented great versatility and adaptation capacity mixing in their compositions string arrangements for chamber orchestra with female voices without losing their metal roots adding some rock and neo-classic elements.
TENEBRARUM has earned by pulse a very important position in the latinoamerican scene as pioneers in gothic genre. They have been able to take risks with innovative and unique musical proposals. They have found and developed their own sound to endure through time.
The band won in 2008 the Subterránica Awards as “Best Gothic Metal Band”. Have been nominated several times by Shock Magazine (The most prestigious magazine of the Colombian musical industry) as “Best Metal Band” and “Best Alternative Album”.
Their sixth album “Voices” was re-released in Europe by the Spanish label Mondongo Canibale in 2006 with nothing but prise from the specialized critics. Their latest album “Winter” will be released in North America by HateWorks North America.
TENEBRARUM has been declared “Out of contest” by Altavoz International Festival and has been special guest in the claimed and famous Rock al Parque Festival (The biggest open-air festival in latinamerica after Rock in Rio). Besides the band has shared stage with the most important bands in colombia and some worldwide recognized bands .
Nowadays the band is working on the creation of new music and expanding their horizons. TENEBRARUM is prepared to face the challenges of the future.
