The combination of break neck riffing, tortured vocals, broken glass beats and thrashing bass lines result in an unorthodox but undeniably relentless onslaught of aggression. This is what makes Tenth Dan. In 2003 Tenth Dan began with a 9 song demo called 'This Is Why' and started playing shows locally. Early 2004 saw the boys recording in Toyland Studios and from that session emerged the 12 track album ‘The Wrath’
The album got put on hold for just under 3 years with 2 members venturing overseas. 2007 brought the release of ‘The Wrath' through Sydney’s infamous Straight Up Records, and Tenth Dan came back stronger than ever, playing a style that stands alone. Tenth Dan spent the rest of 2007 sharing the stage with some of the best bands Australia has to offer.
Early 2008 saw the release of the split 7" with Australian hardcore legends Toe to Toe, released and distributed by well known Melbourne hardcore label ‘Trial and Error’. After more shows and months of writing and rehearsing, Tenth Dan entered the studio once more, this time to lay down the pre-production for the long awaited follow up to ‘The Wrath’. Tenth Dan is set to restore the anger and truth back into Hardcore and crush all who oppose in 2008.
