Formed in 2004 by mild-mannered frontman Dave Costello and boisterous rhythm-guitarist Ian Graham, Testosterone channel the spirit of erstwhile pop-punk legends Blink 182 with their quirky, comical and candid tales of boozy nights out and unrequited love.
After going through the inevitable line-up changes that most bands go through in their formative stages, Dave & Ian were eventually joined by self-taught drumming prodigy Kev ‘Just Kev’ Brown and manic-grinned bass player Matt Highton.
Together, these four uber-talented musicians set off to conquer the world, landing a spot supporting Kerrang! Award-nominated The Ga*Ga*s before recording an album ‘Let’s Grab A Sock, it’s Time To Rock’ and an EP ‘Spunk Rock 101’, both released by local indie label, ‘Hangman Records.’
2006 has seen the band embarking on a series of successful gigs through-out the north west, playing to crowds of up to 650 people and regularly stealing the show with their energetic live performances that mix catchy, upbeat pop-punk anthems with humorous banter between Ian, Dave and the audience.
Songs such as ‘High School’, ‘The Thing About Love Is…’ and ‘Emo Girl’ are always favorites with crowds and internet radio stations alike, whilst recent track ‘Your Johnny Depp’ became something of a minor internet phenomenon, attracting scores of new fans to their Myspace page and finding the track used on a number of fan-made videos.
In 2007, Testosterone are set to tour the length and breadth of the UK, bringing their pop-punk party anthems to the masses.
