About me:

APOCALYPSE WOW!—KITTY KITTY BANG BANG PRESENTS FINAL SHOW ************************************************************************************ Seven years after bursting onto the Austin stage in their sexy skivvies, Texas burlesque sweethearts Kitty Kitty Bang Bang present their final burly-Q blockbuster. The troupe that helped bring the burlesque renaissance to Texas and turned Austin's live entertainment scene on its head with its magnetic characters, complex choreography, and signature ensemble pieces are bringing back last fall's spectacular success, Apocalypse Wow!, to send off some departing members and celebrate with fans. Saying “so long” will be Busty Rusty,Belladonna Nightshade, Bibi la Boop, Legs Cadillac, and Tijuana Trixie. Like Mad Max with a dash of wild-west snake-oil show, vaudeville, and backyard carnival, Apocalypse Wow! is a satirical take on an apocalyptic world. We string together pop-culture and sub-culture imagery and references to give you our take on how we learned to quit worrying and love the boob. The show is a wickedly sexy collaboration between Kitty Kitty Bang Bang and the No Salvation Army Band, known for the weirdness and chutzpah they brought to the infamous Tom Waits Peepshow. They'll be performing some of their favorite apocalyptic musical romps and providing live music for much of the show. Also joining in the festivities are special guests Lady Bangs of Carousel Cabaret and Miss Sarah Palin. Fear not, Citizens, there will still be Kitties prowlin' around. So this particular party may be ending for some of us yet we go not with a whimper, but with a kitty kitty bang bang! Apocalypse Wow! will be at The Independent at 501 Studios (entrance on Brushy Street between 5th and 6th Streets) on Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st. 9:00pm. Tickets are $15. Go to www.texaskitties.com for more information and to purchase your tickets online. ************************************************************************************ Kitty Kitty Bang Bang celebrates the art of burlesque as entertainment while promoting women's ability to express power, individuality and humor through their sexuality. Since 2002, the Kitties have entertained audiences with their unique brand of Texas Burlesque in Austin, San Antonio and Houston at Emo's, La Zona Rosa, Austin Music Hall, Esther’s Follies, The Continental Club Austin and Houston, Stubbs, and legendary blues club Antone's.
