In the beginning........I've basically always been interested in music not necessarily the production of it but just music itself (all kinds). earlier on in my life ,and even still now i was all about art. I started to make beats arouuuunnddd the age of 17 when i had my own computer. ive never ventured into the world of MIDI becuase...i dont know how to play piano and i dont feel like hunting and pecking keys....i do that enough on my computer keyboard with the programs i use i can just use the mouse to do whatever i need to do.....i took piano lessons when i was younger...well more like i was forced to but she used to hit my fingers with the pointer thing so i was liek fuck you im just gonna not learn from you and ruin the recital....
So...onto my love for bass....first of all im jamaican...we're born loving it.Drum and Bass wise the first dnb track i heard was Ultrasonic Sound by Hive off of the matrix soundtrack....what a noob statement i know i feel like i should lie and say i fell in love with the shit ltj bukem produced back in teh day but fuck it...i know im not old...you know im not old...and i honestly am not really in love with the softer side of drum and bass. My love for dnb stems from me being a drummer first and a producer second so crazy snares and even crazier uncontained and unconventional bass/basslines is what i love...
On the production front i basically work with what i have ive never had 100 dollar speakers and frankly ive grown to love the fact that if i have deep bass and i cant hear it on the speakers im working with...after im done i can take a trip to Circuit City and test my tracks out in teh subwoofer room and they usually dont bother me if im blasting it....
To sum everything up...I love Drum and Bass and Dubstep and will continue to make my own movie/art/musically inspired brand for as long as i can it's my life and i liek it that way because i get bored easily listening to music when theres no creativity there or when i know i could have taken an idea someone had and make it better in my own right or just better to me in my opinion. my life is bass drums and individuality...
