We have been described as Motorhead fronted by Blondie.
We describe our music as Progressive/ aggressive melody driven.
Part catchy chorus part TKO.
Who else writes a catchy song about the cable street anti fascist riots in the 30’s, then writes one about the delights of bondage.
Yeah we supported bonehead’s band and yeah we supported bez from the happy Mondays band,
But so what... we also played a local shit hole and ended up with concussion,
and played Glasgow and threw mike stands at major record label a&r men..................now these are proper gigs.
We are promoted and managed by extreme promotions.
We are intent on gigging our arse off ,
so don’t be surprised if some dodgy looking bloke offers you a refresher bar at a gig in your neck of the woods, take it, sit back and watch your night end with a bang.

Hailed by the Sunderland Echo as one of the "top 5 bands in the North East",
the last year has gone by in a whirlwind and the hard work is paying off with regular gigs on both sides of the river and across the UK. New songs are coming thick and fast too with The Refreshers sound gradually getting heavier and more punk rock, but also keeping it fun, melodic and catchy. They have been compared to Blondie, Motorhead and Siouxsie and the Bandshees to name but a few and are loving the honour of being compared to their influences.

Wow what an amazing talent , addictive quality songs that are sung and played with passion and from the heart. Amazing drum patterns combine that with exceptional guitar riffs and bass lines, this is a talent, it's a must see band. Why The Refreshers havn't been signed up yet is way beyond me..... This is a top 10 band in the chart's and what they can bring back into this music industry that i fucking hate is something so special.Great harmonics and yes it has got an early 80's feel but lol im 35 and I loved the 80's and I see the charts and all the crap that we have in it.This music industry should wake up The Refreshers Are an awesome team that need to be heard. Need I say more.

THE REFRESHERS - SLAM THE DOOR
Simply stunning three track single from this very promising band. The music is full of energy and is extremely well written but it is the vocals that really stand out. Vocalist Blottie is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best female singers on the current punk/rock scene and her voice is captivating. But as we all know it takes more than a great voice to make a great CD, and this truly is a great CD. The Refreshers produce well written and well played punk rock with a healthy slice of rock punk and three tracks from this band simply isn't enough. Mark my words, you'll be hearing a lot more from this very exciting band.
Being forward is a good thing, lol. Yeah, I think your music is cool and female lead always an added bonus. Let me know when you play in London and I come along and review your gig (if I may). Cheers, Puck

Sorry I've been a while getting back to you but I finally got a chance to give your material a good listening to and I'm very satisfied with what I hear. I'm sure your live audience give you good feedback on that. Maybe some more well known cover versions would hook new listeners in for you . . I'd be interested to know which titles you'd choose.
