Original lineup of The Second Step was comprised of the following Rude Boys and Rude Girls: Bass: Tom Mannow Drums: Clyde Hunt Guitar: Andrew Lee Sax: Ross Morgan Chatter: CB200 aka Constant Bernard Lead Vocals: Me but at the time evryone called me Sammy Later on we added Keybordist: Dave ?, Fabrice ?, then Dave Barry - drum: Jamal, Scott Mx Turner Bassist: Keith Clifton stayed for a while, then Matt Malice : Horn players: Josh Rabinowitz, Tim Champeaux and Mark Henry, Drummers came and went: Mo Roberts stayed for a while, Keybordist: Etienn Lytel, Bassist : Wayne, Guitar: Yellow shoes Larry, Drum : Tom Nazziola...and many more i cant remember the rest.
these tracks were recorded in 1987 by Oliver Rhee ( the boilers ) in the bathroom of Patrick Dougher ( drummer - boilers / dub side of the moon)
Remi Sammy recently found them collecting dust at her mother's basement she gave me ( Constant cb200) a call so we decided why not let the rest of the world hear how we took NYC hostage with this SKA music. the second step vs. the toasters was always a great battle at cbgb's. more to come.

WOW! Second Step! Its fantastic to hear those great songs. Especially Opportunity. Its fair to say you were a catalyst for the creation of Bigger Thomas (Panic! back in the day). We used to come to the Sunday ska matinees at CBGB's in 1986 and 1987 to see you and The Boilers and The Toasters and Urban Blight. The energy and the music influenced us to get a scene going in NJ. And the rest as they say is history. Thanks again for great music and great shows.
