Hi Guys, good to see you around again. Ah, those balmy evenings in The New Underground Club in Liverpool with sweat running down the band and the interludes in the unlit corner behind the bar. I assume you're free to perform again now that the court case is resolved and the unpleasantness over the absinthe and the rubber gloves is largely forgotten. BTW did those special photos you were doing last week turn out well?
Evening Mr Counts Band.
I supported you once in Liverpool many years , Sorry you didn't get the success you deserved although I always prefered that lot from Liverpool, did you know I sang at John Lennons funeral.
Anyway If you're making a comeback let me know and I'll come down to a couple of shows as a support, I could even write you a song or 2.
I remember The 4 Counts were playing a gig around our way, 1976 it was, in our local, The Leech and Bucket. The pulled up outside in a beaten up Morris Oxford van and we feared the worse, but they rocked, it was the best gig the town has ever seen, world domination would surely be next for these lot. I'm sorry it never arrived.
Having said that, when they came back to these parts in 1988 on their epic 25th anniversary tour, they had a beauty of a Bedford Rascal. They say Cecil had a decent windfall on the pools. They still rocked, well, as much as they could.
Think you need some trumpets in the band lads although you may think you've got 4 too many already. There's nothing like a good blaw, as the bishop said.
Oooh it takes me back; mild shandies in the snug bar to 'cos it was a penny a pint cheaper. I'd often save approximately 8 pence a night and still have enough for a bag of jockey's.
Now as I sit in pipe and slippers, suffering more these days from wet farts and dry dreams, a big thank you to the 4 Counts for helping me relive my youth. Welcome back, er, *sorry* who are you again....
