Bios are boring, usually. Instead, I'd like to use this space a reminder to myself:
Jesse,
Do yourself a favor and continue to be naive. Everything in life will go a lot more smoothly if you do. Remain optimistic, work your ass off, be kind, and good things are sure to happen. It might take a hell of a lot longer than you ever thought it would, but I promise you it will happen if you do these things. Also, remember to keep taking chances on people and things even though you've been screwed over more times than you can remember. Eventually, someone and/or something is bound to actually help you. Just be smart about it, dumb ass.

"Jesse Smith (the band’s only member) has clearly proven...that he knows how to write touching pop songs. He’s more than talented, whatever that means." - AbsolutePunk.net
"[Though] this melancholy blend of synth and true life storytelling, you're taken on a journey you haven’t quite been given before, and it’s one you’re sure to enjoy. This isn’t some diamond in the rough, but rather a shining jewel lost in the woods of unsigned obscurity. There’s a career to be made, and Illusions is just the EP to do so."

"Check out Dallas Electro Pop act The A-B Theory."
- Kings Of A&R
"Taking some sort of strange mix between Hellogoodbye and The Album Leaf, The A-B Theory brings an eclectic, steady style of electronic-based songs to a sometimes labeled "cliché" genre. Maybe Jesse Smith is one of these pop-geniuses...I wouldn't know, but one thing is for certain, and that is that The A-B Theory is a wonderfully eclectic outfit."

"Illusions is an record that leaves its listeners questioning the world around them and wanting to know more about the life of the writer who can come up with such a weird and obscure set of lyrics. It should be found in every iTunes library around the world and probably will be in a short matter of time."

"Now there are two beautiful things from Texas - if you count Cowboys cheerleaders."
