How I made my profile: myspace profile editor.
Steppin' strong out of the River City, two hard muthas, Coops and Biotic form The Allegiance – the new breed of Brissy hiphop. Ready to invade higher ground, their forthcoming debut LP is due out 2010.
Unique in their own right, the two emcees bring yin and yang to wax. They blend two lyrical weaves volleying back and forth in-sync and patterned well to the fabric of their beats. While these guys wet their whistles on beers, Bourbon and Bundy, they spit real ether on the mic, with rhymes flame-grilling the front row. Clockwork Records and the VC massive present Brisbang's fresh-breath of The Allegiance.
Both artists went the same route, sharpening their skills on the open-mic circuit. The Source on Ann Street allowed Biotic the chance to spit venomous rhymes on victims in 2003 and pour that same blood and sweat into taking over the Babbleon battles on Australia Day 2005. Other half, Coops was always putting his mind to rhyme. Sick of commercial overplay on the mainstream A/V output that govern most tastes, penning lyrics over tempered beats was just the creative release he needed. He dropped his first Open Mic sesh hosted by Airlock Studios early 2006 at Brisbane's Afrika Pacifika Festival. Winning a chance to record a track, 'Underground Hound' and receiving good airplay through Triple J's Unearthed competition. The articulate flair found here put Coops on the map.
Both rappers bumped heads in circles swimming the underground scene, before joining forces in 2007 on the single 'Power Trippin Bouncers' seeding thoughts of forming The Allegiance. Not long after they featured on The First Downplayment record from Downplay Records and the City Cyphaz Mixtape in early '09 barging through the speakers with some of Queensland's freshest rap recruits.
Months on the grind hustling live sets up and down the Sunshine state, The Allegiance began buffing up their rep. NurchaFest Brisbane, Fresh Till Def, the Qld Rollerblading Titles at Morayfield and supporting Muph & Plutonic on the Gold Coast for Hip Hop Wars are all high points in their resume. And they've only just begun.
Rolling with the full support of Velvet Couch clothing, last year Allegiance with PJ from Vapor Ink, Species and Pleura from Fundamental Elements unleashed the posse anthem 'VC Knights' earning The Allegiance considerable momentum in the local scene. Feeding demand, Allegiance returned for 'VC Knights 2' packed with punching bars of unrelenting rhyme over heaving rock riffs and chopping block beats. With Sneaky T, Doobs and G Sinister adding strength in numbers, they put it down for VC, ten years and still rolling. Recently they released the accompanying 'VC Knights'(part 1) video.
Keeping their noses to the grind, both Coops and Biotic are heads-down in preparation for their LP. The Allegiance recordings can be heard on their Myspace and Clockwork's official Myspace. They can be seen live on the scene periodically. In the meantime, stay tuned to Triple J's Unearthed and all good purveyors of solid Oz hiphop for the new breed of Brissy.

Hello there, just passing by to spread the word that my LP, Earthworthy, will be out very soon and available to purchase via paypal on my myspace, and hopefully at other vaguely respectable outlets here and there... Until the LP drops I have a bunch of tracks from the album up on my myspace player, if you are bored or feel inclined to listen. I also have 2 film clips for tracks from the album, 1 currently unreleased and the other is on my myspace and on youtube.
Earthworthy is sixteen tracks of hot sex featuring Thorts, Class A, Esvee, JP, Lady Lash, G-Force, Morgan Macmanus, Nikkita & Butler Yeats. Production from Proph1, Crytearia & Xcise... Thanks for letting me spam you a bit! Peace & Props, Kady.
