Music is the art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition. Ambient music is slightly different though, correct? It's more of a focus on repetition and building an atmosphere based on entrancing qualities. Groups have utilized the sounds of the ocean, the sounds of wind, keyboards, keytones, etc., but has the goal ever been to portray the modern feudal system that has become the fall of man? You have people packed into office buildings working hour after hour faxing, taking phone calls, checking emails, gathering information pointlessly for a man who sits at his desk getting sucked off by his secretary. Music is supposed to convey emotion, ambient music is supposed to create an atmosphere, and I'm trying to create the atmosphere of an office building packed with fax machines.
