New Video Series "Going to Ghana" Now Posted
Ahhhh, the sites, the sounds, the smells…. the excitement of Africa. Well truth be told life on a worksite in the middle of nowhere slaving under the hot African sun for ten hours a day isn’t that exciting. But it does accomplish some noble goals and makes for some interesting thoughts to think about in this new video series “Going to Ghana” where Ed Hale and friends take off on a mission with Habitat for Humanity to build two homes from start to finish in two weeks. Ed Hale Goes to Iran with Peace Delegation on February 25th, 2008
Ed Hale has been chosen to be one of 13 delegates from the United States going to the country of Iran with the Fellowship of Reconciliation (www.forusa.org) on a 14 day Peace Delegation on February 25th, 2008. They will visit schools, universities, newspapers, and TV stations to create more harmony and solidarity between the American and Iranian people.
One of the coolest aspects about this newest adventure is that all funds to help pay Ed's delegate fee are being raised online using social networking site like MySpace and the supercool ChipIn widget, so join in the fun and play a part. Hey Ed, My brother and I lived in Iran as kids (air force brats). It's depressing that most of my fellow Americans are so ignorant about Iran and the true nature of the U.S.'s history with Iran dating back to the 50's and the U.S. overthrow of their popular democratic leader Mossadegh. The Africa lion pics are absolutely real. That one with me laying down with the lioness underneath the tree was the last frame in my ancient minolta FILM camera (remember those? My favorite is old school film). Anyway, so it had some irregularities in the print. But it's real. My heart was beating.
