The Angry Orts combine disco-punk beats and approachable pop melodies, creating songs that have been described as “frantic-n-dancey” and as having a “Blondie-inspired poppiness”.
James and Aaron are old high school friends and were in bands together before they created The Angry Orts. They met Sara in 2003 and, after sharing some lukewarm Pabsts that Aaron had in the trunk of his car, the three formed The Angry Orts. In 2004, they recorded and released an EP, Roommates Leave Tea, with drummer Chris Weaber. When Chris moved to Pittsburgh in 2005, the band found Matthew and began refining their sound into a more cohesive mix of disco-punk and indie pop. In April of 2008, they began working with Skyler Norwood of Miracle Lake Studios, and on October 3, 2008, The Angry Orts' first full length album, The Purple Rhino Squad versus The Blue Whale Super Heavy Assault Troops, was released.
I've been starting to play some acoustic gigs, and I made a list of all the venues I could find in Eugene/Springfield, with contact information. Let me know when you're start planning, and I'll send it to you, if you'd like.

I wonder what the fam(s) will think... Sara - this time you should keep the 'shit' line and leave out the 'f*&k' line! Or maybe leave 'shit' out too, because it is really funny when you say, "And I'm bad for you." hahahaha
