This is the first major release on King Con' Entertainment since the success of the debut underground anthem "a.p.p.le.s.e.ed"- which famously quoted "2008, let me finish school first!"
The single works as a double-barreled track along with the smash hit "Nancy"!
With the recession now in full swing in the U.K, appleseed has captured the essence of the struggle with his single Mickey Dyson. Mickey Dyson is a fictional character who acts as the mascot for the difficult period we are now facing financially in Europe.
appleseed has specifically named Winter 2008 "The Dyson Generation" as some of us are currently feeling the strain of constant pressures from banks, mortgage lenders, loanskarks etc.
The track will be relevant to us all, even those cross-atlantic who fell into the recession period slightly earlier than Europe. The track acts as a political satire to those of who rely on each other to get through such difficult times..
Enjoy a snippet trailer of this young artist's bittersweet tale of life and money, accompanied by the beautiful animation which helps one to take part in the "Concrete Jungle Movement" and not feel victimised in the process!
Mickey Dyson
Managing money and debts, spending your loan too quickly, buying impractical things… these are all common issues that students have to deal with and learn from. This track refers to some common experiences of money from Mickey’s perspective and also shows how money (or the lack of it) can change your relationships with others. As Mickey says in the song: “I’ll have a wad of some more enemies please”.
