hi, we are The Appreciation Post. yes, that's the name of our band. we book and play lots of shows. these past few years we've focused on touring more seriously. we love sleeping in our van. it's so much cheaper than renting a hotel room for 4 hours.
we self-released an ep last year called "brighter sides". it was produced by our pal mike poorman. he has a dismal outlook on life that fits well with our similarly bleak views.
we're 100% DIY and proud of it - doing pretty well on our own. we don't have "the haircuts". we don't care about "views" or "play counts". all that we care about is playing tons of shows and writing as many good songs as we can. we believe there is still a place for sincerity in music. we keep it real. sometimes brutally honest.
we're writing lots of new songs that we hope to record and release early next year. until then, we're touring. we like synthesizers, the internet, old musical equipment, tim and eric awesome show, snacks, movies, skateboarding, music from the 90's, and making new friends. we read all of our messages and comments here, so drop us a line.
come to a show. book a show. tell a friend. make a friend. support real bands :)

"A band that makes it all sounds so easy, so cohesive, it’s practically grown from the earth. Sign this band!" - AbsolutePunk.net
"sarcastic and dark lyrics paired up with punchy, upbeat melodies, gang vocals and a Moog stand out against the Boston music scene like a flower blooming in a lake of shit".
"Almost trademarking the genre 'synth-core', this Boston, USA band have come up with a cracker - the five track 'Brighter Sides' EP is a real gem. Produced by Hot Rod Circuit's Mike Poorman, the band layer plenty of melodic synths alongside an early Weezer/The Rentals pop sound. 'Staying In's Alright' is an absolute blinder of a pop song". - Punktastic.com
"A danceable, nerd-flavored jaunt into synth-laden pop-rock. Catchy melodies, intelligently sarcastic lyrics, and tight instrumental work jive together to create a mini diamond in the rough". - Northeast Performer Magazine
