In a long line of good things with bizzare names to come from Wisconsin (Pabst, Blatz) here comes the ARGE! The ARGE was formed in 2003 by Bill Borowski (he played with a dude from killdozer for a while, a surf band and a few alt-country bands, but don’t hold that against him) along with his roomate and a few hanger-ons. They all had a love for early Sub-Pop records (ya’ know, when they actually rocked) jamming on Thin Lizzy and avoiding reality as much as possible. Named after a section of a forest preserve in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, where Bill occasionally attended high school, The Arge was home to all the budding burn-outs. It served as bonfire site, bicycle graveyard, and a good place to get stoned. The Arge's brand of straight up rock and roll is reminiscent of times when there was an aim in rock to turn the mundane condition, pain, apathy and anger of life into something that could let anyone at a show blow off steam, forget their troubles and have fun. They play rock’n’roll the way it should be: Loud, sweaty, heart on the sleeve and tongue in cheek. The ARGE has opened for lots of crappy bands, but they prefer to close the bar.

WE GOT SOME PRESS ONCE!! :
From THE ISTHMUS' Tom Laskin
"The opening riff of "B.A.S." takes you back to a time when hairy beasts dressed up in paisley shirts and electric purple elephant bells stoked the inner mounting flame for the acid test.
I couldn't tell you what the song's actually about (although, apparently it has something to do with drinking and toking too much), but The Arge realize that heavy, gonad-vibrating brand of hard rock grooving perfected by Blue Cheer, and the early, blues-powered Led Zeppelin with gusto.
Speaking of gusto, the altered Blatz beer logo plastered that appears on the cover of the band's new self-titled album from which "B.A.S." is drawn is pretty clever, too."
