The Artificial Heart is the latest in a line of musical endeavors from Rory Allen Phillips, member and songwriter of bands such as The Impossibles, The Stereo and Slowreader (all Fueled By Ramen Alumni) as well as a producer for bands such as Recover, Young Love, The Higher, Name Taken and Soft.
Rory is joined by former Impossible Craig Tweedy on bass (arguably the best bass player on god's green earth) with Scott Clapsaddle on guitar (your next guitar hero) with ? holding down the backbeat.
Initially entitled 'Rory and The Artificial Heart' the band began playing shows in 2006 and continue to bring the rock even when it's probably not appropriate.
love the new mixes! they sound and look less squashed too, which i'm always a fan of. can't wait till i can buy it! (and another houston show) i can tooootally get you a day gig at my store, you might even be able to finagle being on the clock.
