THE ATROCITY EXHIBIT are a grindcore/doom band from the midlands realms of Northampton and Milton Keynes. They play songs that are fast, slow, and sometimes both.
In September 2007 the band were featured on the 'Straight Outta Tha Ground' compilation CD (In Tha Ground Records) alongside bands such as Waking The Cadaver (USA) and My Cross To Bare (Seige Of Amida Records). The year was finished by being voted 'Third Best Unsigned Band' in a UK-wide competition held by The Metal Underground.
2008 began with the release of their debut self-titled EP, recorded DIY stylee in a freezing cold garage one December, and featuring ex-member Glen Pywell, now of UK stalwarts Gutworm (Anticulture), on bass.
September 2008 saw the band's second release, the 'One In One Out' EP, recorded live in some grotty Leeds basement by Tom Dring of Northern grind maniacs The Magpyes.
2009 sees the band start with a new full-time line-up, being joined by Jaz Shadrack (ex-Theoktony, Isaiah, Ritual Of Hate) on bass. Immediately hitting the studio and recording new songs for an upcoming four-way split CD with The Magpyes, Jesus Of Spazzareth and Reltih (Portugal).
