Bio
The Balladeers are a psychedelic 3-piece from Glasgow with an ear for timeless melody and a melting pot of sound and styles. You might hear medieval riffs, 60's influences, romantic poetry, nursery rhymes and carnival and fairground sounds. Blues and classical arrangements intertwine with gypsy stylings, and jazz and afro-based rhythms are all thrown into this insane mix, bound together with a di...stinctly minor key. Modern-day musical troubadours, The Balladeers sing mournful melodies of love, loss and enlightenment which stand alone like a magnificent monolith inscribed with the names of anyone who has ever felt something of the wandering minstrel inside them. "A potent brew." - Shindig! magazine "Oompah doom." - Huw Stephens, Radio 1 "Shagadelic psycho gypsies." - David Duffy, friend and confidant "The Balladeers sound like The Doors and Gogol Bordello stuck together in a 13th floor elevator." - Sean Fitzharris, violinist "Medieval rock." - a radio disc jockey "Like a cross between Mozart and The Doors." - Paul, The Rudiments "Bonkers slabs of psychedelia played by a band totally in control of what they are doing." - Sean McCann, Glasgow Podcart "Near-perfect musicianship cobbled together from an astoundingly diverse range of influences that will make your head spin." - Strathclyde Telegraph "The Balladeers rock." - MySpace -

long time no see :)
Thanks for the reply and I shall certainly do my best to be there at McSorley's. I've had a lot of lost nights in there - it's only right and just your gig should be another stomper in there...
See you there
