Michael Patrick is the host of the big show and comes across the airwaves
every weekday morning from 6 to 10AM statewide on the Michigan Talk
Network.
He was the last producer for the late Hall of Fame radio star J.P. McCarthy,
who for over 30 years hosted Michigan's #1 morning news talk show. A J.P.
tribute CD he produced and marketed raised $500,000 for leukemia research; his
biography of McCarthy generated another $50,000 and was a regional
bestseller.
Shiels also worked with Marconi Award-winning morning radio funnyman
Dick Purtan,one of the longest-running radio hosts in Michigan, as well as Paul
W. Smith, Frank Beckmann, Roberta Jasina, and Mark Champion.
Michael Patrick Shiels has also authored and collaborated on seven books,
