Sounds Like
"Like co-productions of Kurt Weill and Neil Young..." -- The Village Voice;
"Indebted equally to Scott Walker’s bile-drenched crooning, Frank Zappa’s twisted surrealism, and Harry Nilsson’s deceptively sing-song melodicism..." – New York Magazine;
"An impossible amalgamation of Berthold Brecht and Jello Biafra" – Splendid;
"…heavy beats mingled with brief flights of speed, wistful melodies, hypnotic washes of color from a thrumming Autoharp (that democratic, grade school dulcimer), and clever lyrics clothed in the taunting, indulgent rhymes of playground impromptus." -- SF Bay Guardian

WHAT THE CRITICS SAY:
"Frightening yet endearing" – The New Yorker;

– Charleston Post;
"Otherworldy rock and roll that’s surprising and hilarious" – Elle Magazine;

I'm happy to announce that my new album "Songs From The Films Of David Lynch" is out now.
"Truly unsettling and perplexingly brilliant... testament to both the quality of Lynch’s soundtracks and Truax’s talents" - The Skinny
"Truax is paying homage to a kindred spirit with this album. It's the best kind of tribute – affectionate and respectful, but with its own quirks and imaginative leaps and its own distinct identity." -The Scotsman

Thanks for adding me. I love everything you do. I must say the Dance Contest scene in "American Astronaut" is one of my favorite movie scenes ever. My next mission in life is to acquire that soundtrack.
Thanks for The American Astronaut... the film... and the music of course. I'll have to make sure I get a seat for the screening of Stingray Sam next week. L. x
Hewwo. I saw American Astronaut in San Francisco years ago. It was fantastic. I've seen it three more times since then. For some reason, the women in my life that saw it with me didn't enjoy it as much as I did. The music in the movie is great and I also bought the soundtrack. I shall leave you with some of my artwork and a request that you check out my page and listen to my music and let me know what you think.
