We would like to remind the listener that the TBR tracks featured here are improvised. Each recording documents a unique, on the spot and one off moment. There is an intense aural concentration and communication from the groups performers.
We would also like to reassure the listener that we are not affiliated with so-called "improv music scenes" in our artistic goals and aims.
In saying this however our latest work is now heading in a more composed direction. Songs.
We are a hypnotising melisma of incongruous parts: The Black Rod takes you on a voyeuristic voyage through subtle soundscapes, to free folk, to the shores of erratic noise worlds and the urban landfill of distorted movement musics.
Submerge yourself and float off down stream, on the river of your imagination, let it gently take you to the land of The Black Rod.
TBR can opperate as an improvised guerrilla arts group. Our meetings are now dedicated to allow TBR to function on a "Hand-held" basis. Transient, aqueous, solvent. Guerrilla
We are looking to get playing some shows of different varieties. If your avin a house party then get in touch... MySpaceSupport.com, check out these Myspace Layouts!
