I'm a very, very cool book called THE BOOK OF LISTS: HORROR by Amy Wallace, Del Howison, and Scott Bradley. Coming out on 16 September 2008 from HarperCollins, I feature lists from such luminaries as Stephen King, Robert Bloch, Ray Bradbury, Johnny Ramone, Tim Lucas, Karl Edward Wagner, John Skipp, Eli Roth, Edgar Wright, Leo Braudy, Steve Niles, F.X. Feeney, Tim Sullivan, James Gunn, Poppy Z. Brite, Jorg Buttgereit, Paul M. Jensen, Lisa Tuttle, Stephen Volk, Jack Ketchum, Ramsey Campbell, Barry Gifford, Douglas Buck, Richard Stanley, Nacho Cerda, Ann Magnuson, Mark Goodall, Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni, Robert Kurtzman, Gary Braunbeck, Adam Green, Michael Marshall Smith, Scott Heim,Thomas Ligotti, Joe Lynch, and many, MANY more! With an introduction by legendary macabre cartoonist and horror writer Gahan Wilson!
I'm the newest entry in the legendary, 30-year-spanning BOOK OF LISTS series, originally started in way back in 1977 by Amy, and her dad Irving Wallace and her brother David Wallechinsky.
In addition to many volumes of THE BOOK OF LISTS, Amy's other books include: SIGNIFICA, THE BOOK OF PREDICTIONS, and THE INTIMATE SEX LIVES OF FAMOUS PEOPLE, all written with her family. She also authored THE PSYCHIC HEALING BOOK (with Bill Henkin), THE TWO (with Irving Wallace), and THE OFFICIAL PUNK ROCK BOOK OF LISTS (with Handsome Dick Manitoba). Her solo work includes the acclaimed biography THE PRODIGY, the erotic novel DESIRE, and the controversial and Los Angeles Times best-selling memoir SORCERER'S APPRENTICE: MY LIFE WITH CARLOS CASTANEDA.
Del Howison - along with his wife Sue - owns and operates the legendary Dark Delicacies, the only all-horror book and gift store ANYWHERE! If you love horror, you should know this store. Here's its exterior, in lovely Burbank, California, USA.
The street address is 4213 West Burbank Boulevard, Burbank, California 91505. Phone number is 818-556-6660 or 888-darkdel. Find the store on the web at www.darkdel.com. Tell 'em THE BOOK OF LISTS: HORROR sent you! And, in addition to running the store, Del is an acclaimed (and Bram Stoker award winning) anthologist, having co-edited (with Jeff Gelb) the anthologies DARK DELICACIES (winner of the Bram Stoker Award) and DARK DELICACIES II: FEAR (nominated for a Stoker Award). Del's short fiction has appeared in numerous anthologies, and he is currently working on several projects, including DARK SCREEN: HORROR WRITERS ON HORROR CINEMA with Lisa Morton.
The third in the unholy trio of THE BOOK OF LISTS: HORROR is one Scott Bradley. Very little is known about him at this point, other than the fact that this is his first book. He's Amy Wallace's boyfriend (indeed, they live across the street from each other!), was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri (birthplace of Francis Dolarhyde AKA the Red Dragon AKA the Tooth Fairy!) and - in addition to horror - he likes cats, Georges Bataille, Kansas City bar-b-que, Louise Brooks, smoking (way too many) cigarettes, Stanley Kubrick, Cinespia, and holding his head together. Since he doesn't have any previous books to show you, he would like to show you a photo from writer/director Richard Stanley's film HARDWARE (1990) featuring sparky MARK-13 and Jill...

A lot of my creations are looked and read by powerful players in the entertainment industry in HOLLYWOOD. I cannot name names because of legalities. CHAU VAN TRUONG is happy to know that they are enjoying it and negotiating major contracts with residuals, back end pays, and bonuses for my stories. Still deciding on who to go with, so hold on people - my movies will be on the big screens soon. I just want my fans to have the best movie experience and see my writings visually when it is finish shooting. Blood, sweat, and tears for my fans.
Chicks dig scars, everyone knows that, right? Meet Severence DeSnappio, a man who creates ‘fake’ injuries for desperate clients. He’ll get you a stab wound, shot gun blast, snowboarding injury - but a bite from a great white shark?
Set in Miami, Chicks Dig scars is a lyrical, Lynchian mix of dream logic and hard boiled detection.
