Hailing from Grimsby (UK) The Brew are one of the most exciting, vibrant and talked about bands of recent times.
On guitar 20 year-old Jason Barwick, is already being compared with Hendrix and Jimmy Page. Together with band member Kurtis Smith (21), Nicked-named “The Bruce Lee of the Drum Kit”, they’ve opened a new chapter in British Power Rock History. Clearly influenced by the music of the late 60’s early 70’s, they have recreated the genre, greatly helped by third member Tim Smith (father of Kurt) on bass and vocals.
Having toured extensively and successfully throughout Europe, they have built a spectacular live show. They have made strong impressions at festivals in the UK (Headlining Colne R&B), Belgium (Harelbeke and Fiesta City-Verviers, both main stage) and Holland (Maasboulevard) In 2009, The Brew have already been Invited in the Netherlands to play at several High profile Festivals including the World famous BosPop.
Additionally Rockpalast in Germany at their October festival, the Fehmarn festival in Germany and Le Blues Autour Du Zinc in France, Classic Rock Night in Koln with Joe Bonamassa with many more Festival dates confirmed.
In November 2008 they appeared on National Cable TV in Poland, to a prime time audience of 1 million viewers. Their recent album “The Joker”, continues to receive widespread acclaim from leading Music magazines and websites across Europe.
Fully supported by national Radio station Classic 21 in Belgium and France they are now confirmed as one of Britain’s finest musical exports.
