The Catapult Club is a live music promotion company booking regular gigs
into 02 Academy 3 (formerly Bar Academy), Academy 2, and The Actress and Bishop in Birmingham.
Currently staging weekly shows every Thu, Fri and fortnightly Sat at 02 Academy 3 (formerly Bar Academy) and every Tue, Fri and Sat at the Actress and Bishop and developing acts upwards to larger shows at Academy 2, Irish Centre and Birmingham Academy main stage.
Since 1989 the Catapult Club has championed the local music scene and played host to some of the biggest bands in the country - having promoted the Jug of Ale for 16 years until its demise in May 2008 it has played host to many famous name from all the Britpop era bands of the mid nineties such as Ocean Colour Scene, David Gray, Dodgy, Travis, through to recent acts such as Kasabian, The Subways. Maximo Park, The Twang, Cold War Kids, Shitdisco, The Cooper Temple Clause, Clor, Secret Machines, The Dears, The Subways, The Enemy, Editors and We Are Scientists (including sold out Academy main stage shows for the latter two bands) and recently a 12,000 capacity show for Editors at Birmingham's N.I.A.

If you are looking for a gig please always include a mobile contact number and check your mail regularly. If you are offered a gig and don't check you mail for 2 weeks and we have no other way of contacting you then this causes us problems. If cancelling a gig ALWAYS contact us by mobile as soon as possible. We can usually rebook a slot but need as much notice as possible. PLEASE don't call us on the phone 7 times a day to chase up a myspace message - if it's marked as read we may be waiting for the right slot to come along.
We have links to all the major booking agents, record companies and national promoters and concentrate mainly on local midlands bands and national / international acts with agency representation. If you are unsigned and from out of town it may be difficult to make a show work in Birmingham.
