About The Collaters (need bands to play in DC Aug 16th)
that stuff

In the beginning there was rick and john. many bands/incarnations not worth mentioning begat the Rosehips (rick, john, and andrew). After months of shelved recordings, the great northern (the REAL great northern!) emerged, comprising jenny, rick, john, andrew, shivawn, and sometimes dierdre. we had a pretty good run. dawn dineen, the chris and joylene show, and the (real) great northern had a loose scene mostly centering in Baltimore. some other people we played with at that time included Callow, Ellen Cherry, and Chester Stacey. the chris and joylene show became the honest mistakes and private eleanor. I'm not sure about the sprawling line up that was Callow, but their drummer and all-around-great-guy, steve is now in J Roddy Walston and the Business. dawn dineen became a ghostly apple seed. the great northern became airport boulevard, and your collaters.

1 year ago today, we packed up the tent in RI and Garmin lead us to Boston where we rocked the night away with The Ale Mary's. Ahhh, we were so young and innocent back then.
