Dan Arthur and Tom DiNunzio met late fall of 2005. Dan at that time was trying to write his own music playing guitar and singing; playing cover songs with another guitarist. Tom also was involved in other musical adventures playing hand percussion. After the two groups played a show at a local cafe, Dan and Tom started playing music together.
This triggered the birth of The Dan Arthur Project. They wrote a small amount of songs and began performing. Their first gig as The Dan Arthur Project was on the 26th of August at a local cafe that future bassist Ben Scardo put together. Ben at the time was playing with another band.
In October of 2005 Dan and Tom wrote and recorded their first demo CD; it consisted of the songs "Lay Quiet," "Here to Stay," and "Echoing Through the Streets." The demo was well received and DAP continued to play wherever they could. Dan and Tom where looking to add more members to the band.
After a couple of flukes DAP happily acquired the funky bassist Ben Scardo. Ben's first show with DAP was on January the 13th. Since Ben's arrival, DAP as also acquired drummer Leo Arthur and Brian Arthur, both relatives of Dan. Leo is Dan and Brian's father, and Brian was the guitarist in the band "Symmetry Breaking."
DAP is currently piecing together their first EP and is looking forward to its completion soon.

Hi there The Dan Arthur Project first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't lose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
We have also built a pretty big music community which you are welcome to join if you want to meet new artists like yourself!

"Strap in. Elam McKnight has returned to the recording scene with a vengeance. After his more sedate acoustic team-up with Keith Carter, McKnight has roared back with Supa Good (Desert Highway), a wild and wooly gumbo of 21st Century Hill Country Blues that grabs you by the throat from the first track and hangs on for a solid hour."
---Graham Clarke (Blues Bytes)
