About me:

Hm...{Rey is a mixture of both flavors of reminiscence and pure extract of relief, but with strong overtones of despair over the understood but still disappointing resolution that being infinitely lonely is far better than a life (if however short) of lingering dissatisfaction.}

"The classical man is just a bundle of routine, ideas and tradition. If you follow the classical pattern, you are understanding the routine, the tradition, the shadow — you are not understanding yourself."
- Bruce Lee

"The weirder you are going to behave, the more normal you should look. It works in reverse, too. When I see a kid with three or four rings in his nose, I know there is absolutely nothing extraordinary about that person."
- P. J. O'Rourke

I can snap your sternum with one blow; my forehead to your chest. I could raise my head up, loosen your teeth, knock you down, grab you by the lip, pull you up, & tell you I'll be right back..While we're here we're all looking for the art within ourselves. Gravity, inertia, & physics, it's like a round robin.

(I'm cleansing you.)

In the name of art & everything art stands for remember this..

..art is only the search, it's not the formal form.
- Gary Busey

"Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man."
- Bertrand Russell

"The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds."

"From the moment of birth, when the stone-age baby confronts the twentieth-century mother, the baby is subjected to these forces of violence, called love, as its mother and father have been, and their parents and their parents before them. These forces are mainly concerned with destroying most of its potentialities. This enterprise is on the whole successful."
- R. D. Laing

"Acceptance is not a state of passivity or inaction. I am not saying you can't change the world, right wrongs, or replace evil with good. Acceptance is, in fact, the first step to successful action. If you don't fully accept a situation precisely the way it is, you will have difficulty changing it. Moreover, if you don't fully accept the situation, you will never really know if the situation should be changed."
- Peter McWilliams

"When we were children, we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability... To be alive is to be vulnerable."
- Madeleine L'Engle

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - Frank Herbert

"One swallow does not make a summer, neither does one fine day; similarly one day or brief time of happiness does not make a person entirely happy." - Aristotle

"And since you know you cannot see yourself, so well as by reflection, I, your glass, will modestly discover to yourself, that of yourself which you yet know not of." - William Shakespeare

"Anytime you lose a family member there's a grieving period. But it's not really no different, it's just a different realm, just a different form of communication. We’re all gonna go to that realm eventually. As long as you know that you can still know how to communicate with them. They're not gone, you just can't see them with the naked eye. The naked eye only picks up a certain spectrum of light. What else don't we see and what side are we on? Maybe that's the right side and we're gone. Connections never break. Energy can never be created or destroyed. Anything that it changes to is just change." - DOOM

"The release of atom power has changed everything except our way of thinking...The solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind. If only I had known, I should have become a watchmaker."
- Albert Einstein

"(Laugh) I wish I had more time. Judicious, beautiful, uh, demented, whatever. I’ve always been afraid to die, but I think I’m more afraid to live."
- The Corgan

Now if you worked for the bread that's
baked by the man with some dirty hands
and he wiped on his pants
wouldn't you wanna open up a bakery?
just for the fakery
I mean cash rules everything in this creamery
I've seen kids selling flowers at the cemetery
life is whatever you word it, B
believe what you want, then let it be
let it breathe, so we can truly be free
of serving temporal codes and laws
rulers with obvious flaws like obsolete metrics
cling to their seats with claws
so if the world tears at the seams
jump in feet first like a pair of jeans
real kings and queens walk the face of the earth
we all recognize life for what it's worth
- Shing02

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Live, I will kill you, If I Die, You are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor.
- Randy Blythe

"I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand."
- Confucius

"Men acquire a particular quality by constantly acting a particular way... you become just by performing just actions, temperate by performing temperate actions, brave by performing brave actions."
- Aristotle

Well...I think that...

...Basically...in the end, most laws and restrictions that are mandated by government officials are made with the Utopian idea that people will, 'do the right thing' for the most part. Big problem with that is the FACT that people are inherently imperfect...

And I quote:

"A system that works for tens of thousands of years is not going to be a system that works only for people who are invariably agreeable, helpful, selfless, generous, kind, and gentle. A system that works for tens of thousands of years is going to be a system that works for people who are always CAPABLE of being troublesome, disruptive, selfish, greedy, cruel, and violent."

"Among tribal peoples, you don't find laws that FORBID disruptive behavior. To the tribal mind, this would be supremely inane. Instead, you find laws that serve to minimize the damage of disruptive behavior. For example, no tribal people would ever frame a law forbidding adultery. Instead, what you find are laws that set forth what must happen when adultery occurs. The law prescribes steps that minimize the damage done by this act of infidelity, which has injured not only the spouse but the community itself by cheapening marriage in the eyes of the children. Again, the objective is not to punish but to make right, to promote healing, so that as far as possible, everything can return to normal. The same would be true of assault. To the tribal mind, it’s futile to say to people, ‘You must never fight.’ What is not futile is to know exactly what must be done for the best when there’s been a fight, so that everyone sustains the least damage possible. I want you to see how very different this is from the effect of your own laws, which instead of reducing damage, actually magnify and multiply damage all across the social landscape, destroying families, ruining lives, and leaving victims to heal their own wounds.”

- Excerpt from, ‘My Ishmael’ by Daniel Quinn

"It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence." - Mahatma Gandhi

lol... what r u doing on my page anyway? can't u just click 'comment back' on my comment, and stay off my page? ...tsk tsk... you are looking @ it on purpose! I know, it's to die for...

and anyway ur opinion on 'the trannie' (that's what we're calling it/him/her) is pretty rough... the freak show thing applies to me, too. well it used to... used to be all goth. YEARS ago. but I guess it's true, in my search for meaning in my life i've settled on jeans, plain T's, and just 1 piercing on my face... and i'm certain I know myself better now than I did 10 years ago.

so I mean to say, yeah, good point!

I think that certain people can't handle the realization that their lives are inconsequential and thus create large distractions so that it is unavoidable that people look at them and make them feel like they exist. The weirder you look the more normal and bland and human you are. The real whackos are the ones that your eyes just skim right over...

so some new neighbors moved into the rent house across the street... we've met 2 of them so far.  1 appears to be a transvestite, but could possible be a transgender/transsexual.  born John, now going by Angeline.  :) LOL
the other person is a guy who seems to be gay.
we haven't asked for details, obviously.
but we don't really understand what's going on with them because when we chit-chat with them, they make repeated references to having 'girlfriends'... like, my ex-girlfriend, blah blah blah, and this girl i dated once, etc...
we're now wondering... are the girlfriends also he-shes? errr ummm transvestites.... if they actually date women, does that make the transvestite straight? did John/Angeline just wake up one day and go "OH MY GOD I'M A LESBIAN!"

lmao

what's your guess?

um... all i can say is... wow! and ask... what happened with your sister? and how many are there? 3 i'm guessing... and why you? why not your parents?

so many questions...

how about... why did this never come up?

and anyway on to the big news... you know about the crap and tax RIGHT?
big 4th of july thing going on here! so excited. the carrollton tea party (i live in carrollton) is doing a big caravan thing and ppl from cities all around are coming to carrollton to join.  then we will all drive our decorated cars (while we can still afford the gas) in a row up to southfork ranch - yes, where they filmed the show Dallas - for the july 4th festival! i'm excited.

i've been told that the senate isn't voting on the crap and tax until september.  but i don't understand why.

oh one last question... what the hell u been up to lately?  seems like you're never on anymore... ahh... youngsters in love!

oh one other side note... today i talked to some lesbians who told me that the *big deal* (i asked) about the marriage thing is that LAWS in texas actually PROHIBIT them from making eachother beneficiaries in ANY way... holy shit... they have a kid and if the birth mother dies, the other one does not get custody.  can't even fight for it.  they can't sign contracts or file papers or anything either.  fucking nothing.  like, legally.  well, not constitutionally but you know... according to our laws!

been thinking about moving... i love texas and all but... the republican baptists ARE the majority here.  don't want them speaking for me. :(
they have OPEN CARRY in virginia AND arizona AND like 8 other states!!!!
only horatio gets to open carry in miami, though.

I am so confused... It just looks like they're going to *reduce* federal health care support ??????? Maybe they are trying to crash the system... To generate support for nationalized health care... If they stop paying for the uninsured, then the hospitals, drs, whatever will possibly raise prices, or lower quality of care, who knows? ... then the uninsured patients will start asking fed govt for help! Lol funny... Clever.... Evil...

but i'm still very confused. how will this help?
