Influences
Everything i could get my head around - (if I listed everything I'd use up all my avail. space.)
Sounds Like
I guess I'll have to say that now that I've expanded my songs list , that I sound like all of my influences , which , even though they are many , there are a few that come through most : Camel, Steve Hillage,Robert Fripp, Brian Eno,King Crimson,Steve Hackett, and someone once commented they heard some Tangerine Dream( I do own quite a few of their ALBUMS).
I 've been in a few bands over the years, some more successful than others, but I enjoyed playing in all of them. The last band I was in just before I moved to Virginia ,called STATIC CLING, was by far the more interesting of the outfits I had the pleasure to be a part of. I was also in the Skeleton Crew(Static Cling) backing up the punk rock goddess Helen Wheels!!( go to www.cellsum.com)(Helen Wheels.com) Helen was a TRUE ARTIST.With the Helen Wheels Band I was able to go to NYC and play CBGB's a few times and meet some great people along the way!! .I've been associated with the following people in some manner ,either on the same stage or jamming :-James Cotton(25 yrs. ago!),Glenn Phillips(Glenn has recorded guitar for our cd), Boston folkie legend Bob Jordan( we played on one of Bob's cd's), the Brain Surgeons(Albert Bouchard), Man-O-War, members of Alice Cooper ,the Dictators, Head East(25yrs ago!) and members of Blue Oyster Cult. I don't seem to be tied to any genre of music , but I do tend to be leaning in a certain direction I guess. I 'm open to collaborating with anyone who wants to try. I've alredy collab'd with some great artists and am always ready to try something different..I find not knowing where the music will take you an exciting adventure..You can also go to zebox.com/rsssyd and check out my more Fripp and Crimson stuff. Thanks to everyone who has commented so far, I 'm sorry if I missed anyone. Hey Ron, thought I'd drop by and say Hi! Great works as usual. I have some new stuff up, all the tracks from Six Ways To Undo The Horizon, all guitar, all the time! Cheers, Phil.
we got a new CD out, 4 songs posted, although Static Cling pretty well over (except for very occassional shows)...new band: THE INFRA-RED RADIATION ORCHESTRA, 3 piece, no girls, psych like '66 London instead of '67 Frisco, no music up yet but will be soon...
Ron, you appear as quickly as you disappear. A Ron in the box, or mobile. Phone or home, maybe this is a message to phone home. Dial 2009. All the best and bottoms up!
Hey Ron, glad to see you're still at it. We should try another collaboration - I've got a new setup for doing ambient loops on guitar you might like to hear. -T from ASB.

Hi Ron, I invite you to come and listen to one of the songs I did with Vincent Bergeron. Marco Opp. is on it too and a load of others. Hope you are well, autumn is closing in, soon I´ll stoke that fire. Burn steadily or at least glow away. Global warming is in us. Or pick your guitarr up, that should keep you warm, just pressing record doesn´t.
Moving!!! Ron, all these tracks are superb, and thanks for your comments re;mystuff! LOL! Loops, they'll drive you insane. Haven't used historical sound bytes in some time, this was fun. When are you going to release all this material on CD or Downloadpack??? Keep on making the superb music my friend. Phil
Hi Ron, I am not sure if I am in or out. The view from my window tells me I am in. The sounds I enjoy from my speakers puts me outside in a "summerstorm". I enjoy it very much! Viveka
Hi Ron, nice to hear you as ever! Kiss in the mist is definitely my fave here, although all tracks are very appealing! Thanks so much for staying in touch, look forward to a release soon after all your moving around. Must be difficult. All the very best, Phil
