The Deep Fried Five is a group of friends that come together to create, collaborate, and celebrate music, molding a sound that will be noticed in musical circuits of the future. The approach of the band is to bring back the retro sounds of 60's soul and 70's funk eras, while incorporating a fusion of high energy and climactic jam. The Deep Fried Five has had the opportunity to play for various fundraisers such as the Bands for Babies benefit, an extension of MTSU’s Project Help. This organization is a non-profit early intervention program that offers services free of charge to families who have young children with developmental delays or disabilities. The group has also played a benefit concert for the Nurses for Newborns foundation, which is also a non-profit organization aimed at providing at-home nurses for mothers at risk across the nation. The Deep Fried Five is currently recording out in Bethesda, TN. This homegrown record is a collaboration of talented artists, writers, musicians and friends. With gracious help from these active individuals, The Deep Fried Five will be able to release a collection of songs that will be their first album in history.
