The Dejunair Project is a Free and Open Source Music project (band, group, eh whatever) which creates instrumental music of different styles. We are not your average band in that all musicians involved are in different geographical locations spanning thousands of miles between the east coast, midwest and west coast. All of our recordings are created by sharing the individual raw tracks for each instrument via the internet until we have a final piece of music.
We distribute all of our music for free in mp3 and ogg formats. There are also flac versions of some of the tracks. We provide jam tracks cut from some of our completed instrumentals.
If you are looking for remix material/tracks we also offer flac versions of most of our songs separate individual tracks. You can remix/mix/mash whatever you wish to do for free with no catch. It is about sharing the music freely and openly.
FGC's got a great weekend coming up! On Saturday, we open up for Umphrey's McGee at Exposition Gardens in Peoria (FGC @ 7pm), and Sunday, we head over to the Riverview Music and Arts Festival in South Elgin (FGC @ 6pm). The Riverview Fest goes on all weekend, and Sunday's lineup features FGC, as well as The Everyone Orchestra (with Michael Kang from SCI, Brendan and Andy from Umphrey's, Jordan and Janis from FGC, Allie from Cornmeal, and many more!). FGC will be celebrating Halloween punk-style, reprising their Green Day "costume" from last weekend's Masquerade Ball at Three Sisters Park. Catch the band on Friday 10/30 at The Uptowner in Charleston, IL and Saturday 10/31 at the City Nights Theater in Springfield IL with The Station! Fans can expect fun renditions of a few Green Day tunes, along with a healthy dose of FGC music!

FGC hits downtown Urbana this Friday August 28 for the annual Sweetcorn Festival! This is a FREE outdoor show, with FGC playing at the corner of Vine & Main streets from 6:30-8pm. Hope to see you there!

FGC’s only Chicago appearance of the summer is coming up on Friday July 17th at the Abbey Pub. This will be an Ages 18+ show with special supporting acts: Lobster Newberg and The Rubblebucket Orchestra. This Hometown Throwdown is a show not to be missed…hope to see you there!!

FGC is making appearances at two different Illinois festivals this weekend. Friday is the debut of Southern Illinois’ Tall Tree Lake Music Festival, and FGC hits the stage at 5:30pm. Saturday is the second annual Universal Rhythm Assembly in Peoria. FGC plays at 9:00pm, and don’t forget to check out the festival’s unique earth-friendly and social-minded booths and workshops.
Also coming up is FGC’s only hometown appearance of the Summer: Friday July 17th at the Abbey Pub in Chicago. Mark your calendars!
