Brand new international hardcore comp - featuring The Deported!
The Deported were founded five years ago in an alley behind the 7-11 whilst drinking copious amounts of Taiwan pijiu. With members from France, Taiwan, Canada and the US, the Deported come very different musical backgrounds and have many influences, but all share a love of punk rock and hardcore. During the past five years, the Deported have played from one end of the island to the other, in vegetable markets in Taipei, anti-drug festivals in children's parks, a canal in Taichung, the former military base island Penghu, and even a pub or two. In April 2005, the Deported had their first international tour, playing eight shows in ten days in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. That summer the Deported released their first EP split with fellow Taiwan punk rock bands, Consider the Meek and Da Gi Shiang. Currently the Deported boys are in the studio recording several songs, some of which will be released in January 2007 on a split with legendary Australian punks The Hard-Ons. The Deported will also be releasing a track on an upcoming international punk compilation on Vinehell Records entitled The Bitter End as well as a Indonesian oi/punk comp. The Deported will be embarking on its second Asian tour in February 2007 stay tuned.
Deported plays a SNFU cover in a canal in Taichung. Hijinx ensues - guest vocals by Taichung's Finest! Deported plays a traditional Chinese wedding. Featuring Rocket Grrl's Rock Starkey and two belligerant drunks on back-up vocals!
