The diarys' words will make you think; the rhythms will make you move.
Born of four friends - descended from varied musical backgrounds - they have played around the country, recorded and released an album 'If walls could talk' produced by Sean Gnockey, a live EP, 'Live @ the fish bowl' and have a catalogue of songs ready for tracking.
Their music is an upbeat blend of folk, blues, rock and Regga, influenced by melodies of the 60s, songwriting from the 70s, innovations of the 80s, anthems of the 90s, life, love and the feeling bred by pouring it into a cauldron, all scattered with a cup of emotion, and sharing the unique taste.
They are currently brewing their second album. Hear traces here.
The diarys are playing the usual local and London venues and festival dates have included The Secret Garden Party, (covering for Kate Nash) GazaStock, Local and Live,
OxJam. Supported Chris Difford (Squeeze) @ Deptford Albany. and many more smaller folky affairs.

Fishbowl Acoustic Showcase returns to the Foyer Bar of the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells next Saturday, 6th December.
This month’s candle-lit electro-acoustic show features Ric Blow, Little Fish Big Pond and the LayLanas.
Ric Blow (www. myspace. com/sympatheticstrings) is an acoustic singer/songwriter from Brighton. Fishbowl aficionados may remember the last time he played, back in 2006 with Sympathetic Strings. His sound straddles the Anglo/Americana stratosphere and is predominantly acoustic based with a rich, textured sound. It is laid back, melodic and fun....Lyrical, memorable and hope-filled. Expect lots of fingerstyle guitar and quirky, oddball lyrics.
Little Fish Big Pond (www. littlefishbigpond. co. uk) will be making a welcome return to the Trinity to play an energetic mix of new material and old favourites. Most of you probably know who we are by now – Daren, Mike, Craig and Martin... ‘nuff said!
Headlining the show is Brighton-based band The LayLanas (www. myspace. com/thelaylanas). Fronted by Lana McDee and Sandra Lea, the band combines lilting melodies with poignant lyrics set against a backdrop of acoustical vibrancy. They have received a number of rave reviews recently, with their music being described as “lively, colorful, and full of secret sounds and harmonic energy”.
Doors open 7:30pm, music starts 8pm. Tickets £6 (adults), £4 (under 14s) from Trinity Box Office on 01892 678678.
Thank you so much for accepting our friend request!
We inspected the message attached to your friend request with a fine tooth comb to make sure it was the best message ever to send to you!
We made sure Amy, our manager had slashed the 't's and dotted the... lower case 'j's. She then lit a candle and a hush fell over the band as she clicked the 'add to friends' button.
When we saw that you had become our friend, we all cheered and had a wonderful celebration! Booze was drunk & beautiful women were embraced - all in your name! We hope you enjoy being our friend as we think it's pretty cool that we're now yours! You totally rock in our book!
It would be great if you could check out our tunes and keep your eye out for gig dates in your area!
Welcome to the Gunner SGT Army and once again, thanks for being our friend!
