Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Led Zeppelin, and anybody else who writes good songs, plays guitar real loud and sings harmonies.
Based out of Long Beach California, the DIBS were formed by musicians from many different bands to support the songwriting of frontman Chris Hanlin. Eventually the group grew to six members, and began to be jokingly referred to as "the Traveling Wilburys of Long Beach". They are eclectic and encompass many different musical styles. The band is equally at home in acoustic-based vocal harmony ensembles, as well as electric sets that can degenerate into mayhem. The band refuses to be categorized. The main thread tying it all togther is a common love of music and good songwriting, and a mutual respect and admiration for each other.
So. We were all after-hours-ing at the Gypsy Lounge the other night, and Mike put your cd on and we all had a HUGE sing-a-long to many many songs. Aj recorded most of it on his phone, and I recorded more of it on my camera. We had all had a few drinks, so, it was less than perfect- but spectacular nonetheless. Can't wait to show you when you come down this month!! I love you guys!
Happy New Year !
