Passionate about music since he was born, it is his love for the electronic music which drew his attention to the role of the DJ and eventually led him to the rave scene.
Now totalling seven years as a DJ in different types of events and venues, it is the Montreal electronic music scene that Omni calls his home. Very busy in this scene since 2002, he was a resident of the Electro Shock events and played at Akarien Production's events like Electronic Avenue or, more recently, Electro-Chic. He has been seen mixing at major events like Ray Junior's Apocalypse 2005, Evolution Radar One 8 in the bunker and Intense 2006 in Quebec city. He has also played at the Overdose night at Parking nightclub, the biggest electro night in Montreal, as well as Aria Nightclub and Circus Afterhours. He is currently a resident DJ for Akarien Production's Electro Chic events at the SAT.
Always evolving, DJ Omni's musical style is very eclectic, gathering influences from rock, industrial and even trance while mainly being recognised as Electro. The result is a musical exploration and a varied track selection that ensures a fresh sound night after night.
Producer for the past five years, Omni put his DJing experience to good use to create a smashing live performance that he performed for the first time at Rewire 3 with great success. He also signed in 2007 a contract with Elektrofone records, label with which he now has two releases: "Rewire EP" and "Machine is Rhythm EP". He also signed with ontarian label 4Play Trax who released his remix of Sointu's track "Rebel" in October 2007 and his remix of Che Dubois's track "Feels Good" in March 2008.
Early in 2008, he signed a contract with french record label Absolut Freak Records for the release of his track "Rocking Monster" on vinyl. 2008 also saw the birth of Tasty Bytes Records, a new project by Omni, Alice & The Serial Numbers and Push Rec+Play. This digital label will see releases by its creators and like-minded artists. The upcoming year promises to be very busy for Omni's music productions and live performances.

After a tight four track EP on Autist Records and a nice release on Kostbar|Tanzbar under his pseudonym Saimont, Sami found some time to hammer down a track for a digital only release for Tracer Records. A big bombastic baseline which is able to bring destruction to any dance floor runs smoothly throughout the whole track. Top it off with tight programmed percussions and we have a clubbing monster.
Ronald van Norden who had a lot of success recently with his Minimal Fuel EP, brought you a more minimalistic interpretation of "El Fuego". Excellent material for mixing, cutting and twisting. If you're into the minimal 'thing', check this one out for sure!
