Mark Bornstein plays guitar and sings to you ...Lance Mathyssen (AKA: Afab Matty) hurts drum kits and ears... and Mark Nichoson plays bass...like Bruce Lee.

Sounds Like
T.Rex getting f*sted with Iggy's skull ring, the Not-So-Dandy Warhols, Oasis at a family reunion, Foo Fighters if Kurt was in the band, Weezer getting its ass kicked on the playground, Stereophonics if they were cooler, Kings of Leon if they were not so cool.
The Downfalls are a San Francisco indie-rock trio that wraps the sweat-dripping riffage of post-punk powerpop around a creamy melodic center, all glazed over with a thick swarm-of-angry-bees-in-your-face fuzz bass and tom-tom fury. The band has been honored as a Featured Artist on MP3.com (where they have been downloaded over 40,000 times) and has brought their high-energy "RAWK" show to stages throughout the Bay Area, including recent performances at the Bottom of the Hill, 12 Galaxies, The Elbo Room, The Rockit Room, The Red Devil Lounge and many others.
Owl Magazine, CD Review, July 2008
" If you like artists like The Stooges or The Pixies you will like The Downfalls as well... Take note: you need to listen to the album a lot to "get it." This is not pedestrian music. Your attention is required.— Eugenia Loli-Queru
SFBurning, Live review
"The Downfalls surprised me ... going all out for the crowd with noticeable, and likable, abandon. As their motto states, they are 'indie rock that doesn't suck,' and they proved it tonight ... this three-piece knew what to do with what it had and the crowd knew it too."
