*POLICY ON ADDING BANDS* From now on I am only adding bands that we know personally and ones who message us beforehand specifically about playing real shows. We get way too many requests from bands that aren't interested in trading shows or playing shows with us. We'll add any Baytown band and most Houston bands, but other than that, you should message us if you're coming through town so we can try to hook you up with a show. Cool? -adam
Bio:
The Drafted formed in 2003 and have been playing loud, fast, passionate punk rock in the Houston area ever since. In 2005 they became affiliated with DIY indie/punk label Lower Records (now based in Austin).
Most of them are in college (their frontman studies jazz in New Orleans, for one), so now you'll find them on hiatus for much of the year, but
every summer they converge back onto Houston for three months of shows, shows, and more shows; and summer 2009 will be no exception.
In their 5+ year tenure, The Drafted have shared the stage with Houston legends The Hates, Vatos Locos, 30 Foot Fall and O'Doyle Rules, as well as Houston hardcore favorites The Last Starfighter and the Jon Benet.
At each of their most recent shows in their humble, suburban home base of Baytown, TX, over 100 people came out to mosh, skank, and slam to the roudiest punk rock ever played east of the Loop!
It is due time for this frantic foursome to spread the choas to the rest of the greater Houston area, are you in?
