The Ending Of... have been in existence for a time, that at least is for sure.
We are a band of four and whenever we can, we leave the warmth of our Mancunian homes and travel to a dis-used milking shed in the cold, bleak wastes of darkest cheshire to craft songs out of boulders of granite, that will capture feelings of excitement, dread, love, hate, depth and purpose, we use any instruments we can lay our frost bitten fingers on, be it tom tom, bass guitar, cello or a childrens gloc. If you don't like us or our music, thats fine, our music doesn't care and neither do we. We love to perform our music as and when a social event permits and meet people who inspire us to continue to do so.
The Ending Of... have had the pleasure of performing with the likes of...
This Et Al, The Maccabees, The Longcut, The KBC, Last Gang, Kubichek!, Headlines, The Whip, The Sugars, The Violets, Wild Beasts, Sky Larkin, Snowden, Ra Ra Riot, Assembley Now, Orphan Boy, Friendly Fires, Ipso Facto, My Passion, Grammatics, Bolt Action Five and GoodBooks
Kind words that kinder people have written and said...
"Near Sublime" - Drowned in Sound
"It's a pleasant surprise that the three tracks are at least as good as their packaging. 'Brick Through Plate Glass Window''s nervy guitars and rumbling bassline recall early Bloc Party, an effect enhanced by the uncannily Kele-esque lead vocals. Meanwhile, the fantastically-titled 'Debbie Can't Walk In A Straight Line' mixes military drumrolls with distinctly un-military howling at the moon. Best of the lot, however, is the spooky 'Mademoiselle', all stop/start anxiety and lurking threat.
It's not often that you hear a record that you can both listen to and stroke. But The Ending Of... have pulled it off." - This is Fake DIY
"The Ending Of... have High Voltage wrapped around their spiteful little fingers. It's one of the most important demo CDs High Voltage has ever heard, and fills us with as much excitement as the Nine Black Alps demo tape did..." - High Voltage
"If this band isn't a hot tip by this time next year, then everyone needs their ears testing." - Sandman Magazine
"The attention to detail of The Ending Of... project is inspirational and is an example of the way bands should do it!" - Steve Lamacq
"A collection of disparate influences from three decades of darkness are stirred up to make something wilfully individual. It seems to be all over in mere minutes, but that might just be the intoxicating urgency of the band; don't blink, because you really don't want to miss them." - Cath Aubergine Manchester Music
"What a great song, this is great!" - John Kennedy XFM X-Posure
The Ending Of... have had songs featured on a few compilations: High Voltage: Power Overload, Across the Pennines: Volume 1, Dirtyzine: Pedestrian 2, Across the Pennines: Volume 3

Currently Sweden's hottest export, THOSE DANCING DAYS combine "Sweet as apple-pie pop" with a devilishly sassy Northern Soul and it's this unique combination that has the got the whole of the UK falling over itself and for good reason too!
The subtle dynamics in their songwriting of JOHN and JEHN and the balance between chaos and beauty and the mastery of heartbreaking melodies Expect beautifully skewed hymns in the key of Serge Gainsbourg. http://www. myspace. com/johnjehn
Wakefield's THE RESEARCH are makers of fun, but also write songs that are like punches in the stomach that knock the wind out of you but afterwards you agree that you feel much better for it. www. myspace. com/theresearch
