The project began in late 1999, when Ross began writing the occasional song that didn't fit the atmosphere of either Sunless or Per Somnia. He decided to create a third musical project for the output of this EBM/synthpop styled material. As the project continued, the overall style and sound became more cohesive. The influence of of such popular bands as VNV Nation, Curve, Delerium, and De/Vision can be heard in the music.
The debut 7 song CD, dead code, was completed in January 2001. It contained a cover of U2's "New Year's Day", which receives nationwide club play to this day. The follow-up limited edition EP constant change was then released. Both EPs are now out of print.
The Endparty's first full length album "beauty always leaves" was completed in 2002. It is comprised of the best songs from the first two EPs, plus new tracks.
In summer 2002, The Endparty began playing live shows.
After a fairly long hiatus from songwriting, Ross released a second Endparty album, titled "Departure", in September 2007. This new album features a definite change in feel from "Beauty Always Leaves", featuring more mellow synthpop and guitar-based songs as well as some dancefloor material. Both albums are available, drm free, from iTunes worldwide, and also from Rhapsody.com
