BIOGRAPHY
2006
- The Exploding Boy was started by in January 2006 by Johan Sjöblom (Prune, Fake Moss) and Les Andersson (Kodji, Run Level Zero).
- First demo-recording reached electronic-pop-queen Sophie Rimheden that took the band to her hears and offered to produce the next coming material.
- In March of 2006 the demand of seeing the band was huge. New member was added and the first rehearsal as a full band was done on the 5:th of April the same year.
- The Exploding Boy made their live debut at Fight Club in Stockholm, Sweden the 5:th of May, one month after the first rehearsal, and only 5 month after the start of the band. The gig was totally sold out.
- Within the first six month the band had been interviewed by both radio and TV and done several interviews for different magazines.
- In September of 2006 the band went into Big Island Studios (most famous for their work with German band Rammstein and Swedish acts like Mustasch and Covenant) together with producer and technician Tom Van Heesch.

- April/May 2008 The Exploding Boy went on their first European tour to France.

- The release party for the single was held at one of the most popular live-scenes/clubs in Stockholm, called Mosebacke.
On the 7:th of September.

Hi there guys:D thanks a lot for this great new:D, realy Heart Of Glass is one of my favorite tracks of Afterglow:D, and the Pic of Heart of Glass is AMAZING, i like it:D, well keep in touch guys:D, i am here for all that you need:D. greetings:D.
Hej Johan, the pics and videos are collecting dust or as we say in German: sie setzen Staub an ;)
Cairo-Nile-Red Sea - Top 12:
- Swans: God damn the Sun (40°C in The Valley of the Kings is damn hot!) - Elefant: Sunlight makes me paranoid ;D - Lyrebirds: Lotus (our guide called us "Lotus Family") - Diego: Heaven over Cairo (= Smog!!) - Animal Kingdom: T(h)in Man (where? where?) - The Exploding Boy: London via Cairo in 40 days - Blacklist: The Believer (90% Muslime in Egypt) - The Blackmail: Captain of Felucke (nice sailing boat) - Kim Novak: Lost at play (not too good at minigolf and billard) - Makaras Pen: Promises (never give up) - CatPeople: In Silence (enjoy) - Francis 7: Home (didn't wanna go)
The CD with the live recording from Wittenberg is on the way to you and should reach you in the next few days. Be prepared for a small surprise! ;) I'm very sorry for the long delay, there was too much to do in the last few weeks. H E R E is a 5-track-impression of that gig you can listen until you get the CD. We email in the next few days...
Greetings from Berlin: Jens
PS: I found this comment in the blog of Crush Club.
