The Fluggerbulgars are a group of four musicians and friends residing in North London with very eclectic musical tastes. Their diverse repertoire and unique approach stems from the various different musical backrgounds of the band members. Violinist and Bass player Jiri Slavik from the Czech Republic grew up playing Central and Eastern European folk music in addition to having had a rigorous classical training. Clarinetist and Saxophonist Dave Shulman grew up in a Klezmer playing family and started playing at Weddings and Barmitzvahs from a young age. In addition, all the band members share a love of Jazz and improvised music and can always be found jamming at parties whilst getting 'fluggerbuggered' and enjoying music making as a way of life when not performing on stage.
